The Gentian Schnapps from Austria
Gentian Schnapps is one of the specialities of the Alpine region. The roots of the yellow gentian are dug out of the ground by hand, carefully macerated in alcohol, then matured for several weeks. The macerate is then twice distilled using our fine distillation process before being stored for several years in various vessels such as glass balloons and stoneware.
The nose of our Gentian Schnapps has earthy tones typical of the variety. On the palate, it reveals a powerful, spicy flavour with aromatic bitter notes. Long-lasting on the finish, it has a digestion-stimulating effect and is excellently suited as a digestif or simply for enjoyment between meals.
Enjoyment recommendation: Enjoy Gentian Schnapps in a Schnapps Glass at a temperature of between 17 and 20 °C.
