The Prinz Distillery is located in Hörbranz – in the middle of the beautiful Leiblachtal, framed by Lake Constance and the majestic Alps. As a family business, we are closely connected to the people, nature and traditions of the region. We have been passionately distilling schnapps for 130 years. Our distillery was the first in Austria to distil such a mild and light 34 % blend.

Prinz Schnapps From Lake Constance: For A Real Taste Of The Alps
All our fruit is carefully harvested. Every apricot, cherry, plum or pear remains on the tree until it has reached the optimum degree of ripeness. The harvesting process can take several weeks because the fruits are not all ripe at the same time.
The Prinz Distillery has been in partnership with these fruit growers for decades, sharing the common goal of striving for top quality. They know in which location the different fruits ripen to perfection. Only full-bodied, crisp fruit forms the basis for the outstanding fruit enjoyment of our light 34 % schnapps.
Our master distillers only process absolutely fresh fruit into each fruit schnapps variety. The distilling process is particularly gentle in order to extract the full fruit flavour.
The distillates are then matured for up to six years according to old tradition. During this time, the fine aromas of our fruit schnapps develop. This careful refinement produces a particularly beautiful interplay of fruit and alcohol.
Drinking Recommendation
Our fruity schnapps develops optimally in a slightly bulbous schnapps glass or in a snifter. Both glasses bring out the character particularly well. Enjoy the classics with all your senses at a temperature between 15 and 18 °C.
