Quince Brandy from Hafele

Fruity, slightly flowery and fresh on the nose – these are the immediately appealing characteristics of Hafele Quince Brandy. Apple and pear quince are harvested in late autumn but, before processing into a mash, the fine fuzz on the golden-yellow fruits must first be removed, as this would negatively influence the taste of the brandy. After several days of maceration, the mash is distilled into fine distillate under vacuum in the Hafele brandy distillation process. It is then stored in stoneware for several years before the finished brandy is bottled.

On the palate, Prinz's Quince Brandy impresses with a light, underlying sweetness, a fine, spicy-tart flavour and a long-lasting finish.

Enjoyment recommendation: Enjoy Quince Brandy as a digestif in a Schnapps Glass or a Hafele Glass. This fine brandy is a particularly good accompaniment to desserts, meat dishes, e.g. braised beef and robust sauces.

Background knowledge:
Like apples and pears, quince belongs to the pome fruit family. In Austria, it is one of the oldest cultivated plants.
