1) Introduction

We are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest.

Below you will find information about the accessible usability of our online offering.

We inform you about

  • what services and functions you can expect on this website,
  • how you can use these services and functions,
  • what options are available to you for accessible use, and
  • which authority is responsible for monitoring accessibility on this website.

2) Services and functions of this website

This website is an online shop for the sale of goods.

Goods in this context refer to physical items.

Products are presented here which can be added to an electronic shopping cart and then ordered and paid for in a binding manner.

This website has a header menu and a footer menu.

In the header menu, the goods we sell are listed by category and can be accessed individually from there.

Each product is described on its own detail page with further information about its key characteristics, the scope of delivery, and the total price. From there it can be added to the electronic shopping cart.

In addition, the electronic shopping cart can be accessed via the header menu once you have added at least one product. From this cart, the electronic ordering process can be initiated and completed.

In the footer menu you will find links to our legal notice (imprint) with our contact information as well as information about the legal basis of our online offering, shipping and payment options, and links to additional helpful service pages.

3) Explanation of how to use the services and functions

3.1 Virtual buttons

This website can be operated via virtual buttons.

3.2 Home, overview, and detail pages

On the homepage you will find a selection of offered products in the central page area. By interacting with a product presentation you will be taken to the product detail page.

In the header menu you can navigate between the various product categories.
After selecting a category you will reach an overview page displaying all products in that category.

By interacting with a product presentation on the overview page you will again be taken to the product detail page.

The product detail pages contain all essential information about the product and the total price, and may also include a quantity selection element and an add-to-cart button.

If available, the quantity selection allows you to set the desired order quantity.

3.3 Electronic shopping cart

By pressing the shopping cart button, you add the product (possibly in the selected quantity) to the electronic shopping cart.

This electronic shopping cart can be accessed at any time via the header menu.

Here you can first review the products that have been added. Using the corresponding buttons, products can be removed again or, where applicable, the order quantity can be changed.

3.4 Electronic ordering process

After reviewing, you can complete the electronic ordering process by interacting with the corresponding buttons.

To do this, you will first be asked via an input form to provide your contact details (at least name, email address, and delivery and/or billing address).

You can then select between the available delivery or service options in the next step.

Finally, you can choose one of the available payment methods, enter the necessary payment details, and complete the order.

The binding submission of the order only takes place when the designated button on the final order page is pressed. It is labeled “Buy”, “Buy now”, “Order with obligation to pay”, or another clear wording.

Before pressing this order button, you can use the “Back” button of your browser at any time to return to previous steps and/or cancel the ordering process at any time.

If you have chosen to pay using an online payment method, you will be redirected from the final order page to the payment provider’s system in order to complete the payment there.

4) Legal requirements for accessibility

This website qualifies as an online shop and therefore as a so-called “service in electronic commerce” and is characterized by an electronic ordering and payment option.

Special legal accessibility requirements apply to it.

In general, this website must provide functions and procedures that are designed to meet the needs of people with disabilities and enable operation using digital assistive technologies.

For this purpose, the online shop functions of this website must be designed to be

  • perceivable
  • operable
  • understandable, and
  • robust

Perceivability means that the information and components of the online shop are presented in such a way that they can be easily perceived by all users.

Operability requires that the functions of the online shop can also be used by users with limitations in mobility or cognition.

Understandability means that the information and functions of the online shop are logically structured, easily recognizable, and clearly labeled.

Robustness finally requires that the content and functions of the online shop can be used reliably and without restrictions, even when users employ digital assistive technologies.

If products are offered for sale in the online shop that themselves are subject to accessibility requirements, information about accessible use must be provided for such products, where available.

5) Available assistance for accessible use

This website meets accessibility requirements through the following measures:

  • Alt text for images: Images in the online shop are equipped with alternative text that provides a short description of the illustration and can be processed by screen readers.
  • Browser-independent page output: Content and functions of this website are available in the same arrangement, alignment, and resolution regardless of the browser used.
  • Cascading Style Sheets (CSS): A programming language is used that separates the visual presentation of page content (layout, color, design) from its structural content. This allows digital assistive technologies to use their own visibility schemes to display page content.
  • Verified correctness of HTML code: All HTML code is continuously checked for functionality to prevent malfunctions and ensure compatibility with digital assistive technologies.
  • Responsive design (adaptation to different screen sizes): Content, elements, and functions automatically adjust their dimensions to the size of the screen being used.
  • Scalability (visibility when zoomed): Page elements and content remain readable in high resolution even when enlarged.
  • Text notices when input fields are not completed: If mandatory input fields are not filled in, a text notice is displayed in addition to a color highlight. This notice indicates which information is missing in the input field.
