Masterwort Brandy from Hafele
Like gentian, masterwort is one of the oldest known medicinal plants in the mountains. For our Hafele brandy, the roots of this herbaceous plant are harvested in the Alps, far above the timberline. They are finely crushed and macerated, then according to the strict rules of the Hafele brandy process, distilled twice and stored in stoneware for at least two years.
Only then is our Hafele Masterwort Brandy ready to bottle and drink. On the nose, it appears fresh and slightly spicy. On the palate, it unfolds with a slightly fruity, pleasantly tart and strikingly mild taste.

Background knowledge:
Masterwort grows in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of up to 2,700 metres. The medicinal plant grows to a good one metre tall and exudes a spicy scent of yellow beets and celery.
