  • With the distillate of ripe plums from the region.

  • Distinctive aroma and taste.

Sweet-Aromatic Plum Variety

The House Plum is particularly popular in our region, and with its firm flesh and fine, sweet-sour notes, it is not just excellent for eating fresh or baking. A distillate is created from it with much love and care, which gives our Old House Plum its excellent taste.

Harvested In The Region

The prune plum or damson is a subspecies of the plum and thus belongs to the stone fruit family. This plum variety is very popular in our region. It has a special fruit character with juicy, slightly compote-like aromas. The yellowish flesh has a high sugar content, which makes it very suitable for cooking. Between the end of August and September, the blue to black-violet fruits ripen in our fruit growers' gardens. After delivery to our fruit farm, the fruits are processed immediately. The removal of the stones is very important, as they would negatively affect the flavour of the schnapps. Double distilled, the fruity plum distillate is stored in stoneware vessels for a long time before being aged in wooden barrels over several months.

Barrel-aged Plum Schnapps

Distinctive And Delicately Spicy

The schnapps is perfected here, with the multi-layered aroma spectrum of the House Plum complementing the flavour notes of the wood wonderfully. To finish, we refine the schnapps with natural fruit extracts before it is ready to be enjoyed from our classic swing-top bottle.

A distinctive, floral aroma with a subtle note of marzipan dominates the nose. Fine fruity, slightly spicy aromas and the pleasant sweetness of Old House Plum unfold on the palate. A mild fruit schnapps that's in a class of its own! You can also try our other varieties such as the Old Williams Christ Pear or Old Apricot.

Our drinking recommendation: Enjoy Old House Plum as a digestif or simply in a stemmed schnapps glass at a temperature between 17 and 21 °C.
