  • Intense varietal raspberry schnapps from a wooden barrel
  • Double distilled using the fine distillation method
  • Aged in a wooden barrel and refined with fruit extracts

Suitable for every taste

With its characteristically strong flavour and bright red colour, this versatile berry is one of the most popular fruits. In our Old Forest Raspberry with 41 % vol, its fine fruity qualities really come into their own.

With natural fruit extracts

The forest raspberry harvest usually lasts through the summer months and into September. They are among the fruits that need to be processed as quickly as possible. Since the berries do not have a high sugar content, they are not mashed but macerated – that is, preserved in alcohol. In the process, the distinct fruit aromas dissolve and pass into the alcohol. Then they are distilled – twice – in the usual Prinz fine distillate process. After several years of maturation in stoneware, we store the resulting fruity, intense distillate in small wooden barrels before refining it with natural fruit extracts.

A feast for the eyes and tastebuds

The golden-reddish colour of Old Forest Raspberry is simply wonderful, even straight from the barrel. The varietal-intensive aroma immediately makes you think of sun-ripened berries on the bushes. The full fruity potential finally emerges on the palate: the varietal raspberry flavour, a pleasant sweetness, and the fine, slightly vanilla-like wood barrel note. A delicious experience and a MUST for all raspberry lovers!

Enjoyment recommendation: Enjoy Old Forest Raspberry as a digestif or simply whenever you like in a Schnapps Glass with a stem at a temperature between 17 and 21 °C. Discover even more flavour adventures – from fruity to nutty – with the other Old Varieties.
