Elderberry Brandy from Hafele
The black berries of wild elderberry bush make Hafele Elderberry Brandy a spicy, fruity and particularly flavourful drinking experience. We process up to 35 kg of ripe berries for one bottle of our brandy, but these must be processed as soon as possible after harvesting to avoid spoiling.
After the mash has fermented, it is distilled using the aroma-preserving Hafele brandy process. The distillate is then stored in stoneware containers for a good three years until it is ready to be bottled. The aroma of the brandy is slightly floral and fresh. On the palate, the highly aromatic taste of berries unfolds with fruity, spicy, slightly citrusy notes and a smooth finish.
