Gentian distilled in the Hafele process
We carefully wash the roots of this ancient medicinal plant before chopping and fermenting them. After mashing, we then distil the macerate using Prinz's own Hafele process. This is based on four generations of distilling experience combined with state-of-the-art distillation technology.
Interesting facts about gentian
The ancient Romans valued the yellow gentian, native to the Alps, as a remedy for gastrointestinal complaints. Since the 16th century, the medicinal root has also been distilled into schnapps.
