The Masterwort Schnapps from Austria
We only use the best roots for the production of our Masterwort Schnapps. Most of these come from the main ridge of the Alps in Tyrol, from an altitude of 1,400 to 2,700 metres. After harvesting, the roots are carefully cleaned, crushed and then macerated in alcohol. After the distillation process, the distillate is stored in stoneware containers for several months before we use it to make our Masterwort Schnapps.
You will find both earthy and fresh notes on the nose and palate, slightly reminiscent of mint. Due to its pleasantly bitter taste, it is often drunk as a digestif after a hearty meal.
Enjoyment recommendation
Enjoy Masterwort Schnapps in a Schnapps Glass at a temperature of between 17 and 20 °C.
