Our many years of experience in the selection, processing and distillation of Williams-Christ pears allows us to produce this exquisite and flavourful schnapps. The juicy fruits ripen under ideal conditions in their orchards, giving our Williams Pear Schnapps its delicate, fruit-intensive, slightly sweet aroma. This is the only way that such a taste-intensive delicacy can be created; a lot of know-how and patience is necessary to get the process right!

Our Williams-Christ pears are carefully checked for damage, ripeness, aroma and taste before processing; the white flesh should be soft but by no means mushy. Once it's been mashed, it is left to mature in fermentation tanks. This is when the delicate senses of our experienced master distillers choose the right moment for distillation. At the perfect time, in the traditional fine distillation process – at particularly low temperatures – a distillate with an incredibly strong varietal character is produced. But! To be really good, it still needs time to mature. So the distillate is aged for several years in different containers, including fine-pored stoneware. This resting period allows the flavour to develop to its fullest; this is how the schnapps is smoothed.

Again and again, our master distillers check the taste and smell of the schnapps. Only when they are satisfied is the Williams Pear Schnapps ready to be enjoyed and put into the iconic Prinz bottle. But what does it taste like? There‘s simply no mistaking it! Both on the nose and on the palate, it is easy to recognise even for inexperienced schnapps drinkers. There is a distinctive aroma, and the characteristic clear, pure fruit flavours offer a delightfully long finish.
