The quince is one of the oldest cultivated plants in Europe that has been almost forgotten in recent years. Yet the hard yellow fruit can be made into an extraordinary fruit schnapps.
The production of our Quince Schnapps involves quite a bit of effort, and it starts with grating the quinces before processing. Grating them removes the furry film on the skin, which would make the distillate and, therefore the schnapps, very bitter. Once they've been grated, the fruit is then crushed and mashed.
The distillate produced in the fine distillation process gives our Quince Schnapps an intense aroma of citrus fruits. On the palate, it unfolds with a tart, spicy and – at the same time – fruity taste. A speciality that you should definitely try.
Enjoyment recommendation: Enjoy Quince Schnapps in a Schnapps Glass at a temperature of between 17 and 20 °C.
